Russell Norman, the restaurant entrepreneur behind Polpo, has secured a site in London’s Covent Garden for his third restaurant, Spuntino.
His company has secured the lease of Pad of Covent Garden in Maiden Lane, a two-floor site comprising ground floor and basement.
It is thought that deal is subject to planning and licensing.
The securing of a location for Spuntino comes after the entrepreneur walked away from a site in Soho’s Rupert Street in September.
The former operations director of Caprice Holdings has won plaudits in the wake of the success of his first two eateries – in addition to Polpo he also operates Polpetto.
The new restaurant will serve a New York-inspired Italian menu.
