Noble Bars & Diners, which is headed by Noble Inns founder Scott Hunter, plus managing director Simon Holroyd and executive chef Neil Rankin, will open the first site under new diner-style concept Bad Egg in London’s Ropemaker Street.
The group has secured Unit 1b in the City Point building in Moorgate for the launch later this month of the 65-cover restaurant which will also include a takeaway offer.
Earlier this year, the company said it hoped to grow the new format to “10-plus” sites over the coming years, with possible expansion overseas.
Holroyd said Bad Egg will be a modern take on Chicago diner-style food. There will be “fantastic, adventurous” burgers but without many standard diners options such as chicken wings and fried pickles.
