Chris Sanders, consultant and co-founder of Cupcake Mum, the private members club for families, has joined Chop’d, the London-based salad bar chain, as non-executive chairman, M&C Report understands.
Sanders, who was previously a business development director at Whitbread and managing director of Renew Medica, takes up the role left free after Susan Arndt, who has been chairman of Chop’d since its inception in 2004, stepped down last year.
He is also co-founder of consultancy firm Campbell Sanders and an investor in a number of small/start-up companies.
The seven-strong chain, which is led by Eddie Holmes, secured a new funding package with Barclays Corporate at the end of 2011 as it look to add further sites to its estate in the capital.
The company opened its latest unit on the former Tempi Med site in London’s St Paul’s in January. Previous to that it opened a site at Boxpark, the pop-up mall in Shoreditch.
