Muriel’s Kitchen, the restaurant and deli concept, is set to open its fourth site in London this month, in Richmond.

The group, which is led by Charlotte Miller and understood to be backed by the Noble Organisation, is set to re-open the unit previously operated by giraffe in Hill Street.

The company, which opened its first site in South Kensington at the end of 2011, is believed to be exploring further opportunities to expand in the capital.

It also currently operates sites in Soho and Leicester Square.

Giraffe, the Tesco-owned chain, dispose of the Richmond site as part of its plans to further consolidate its estate in the capital.

A Giraffe spokesperson said: “As we develop our estate, some of the older and smaller locations no longer fit with our growth strategy. As such we are looking to dispose of our restaurant in Richmond, the rest of the estate is experiencing strong like-for-like sales. We continue to expand and invest in the brand and will look to open between five and 10 more restaurants in shopping centres, Tesco stores and high street locations this year.”

The group, which recently opened in Birmingham Airport with TRG Concessions, is also believed to be exploring the sale of its original site in Hampstead.

Last year, the company sold its site in Islington to BrewDog and its restaurant in Blandford Street to Daylesford Organic

Nick Weir at Shelley Sandzer and Richard Negus at AG&G acted on the Richmond deal.
