Mowgli, the Liverpool-based Indian street food restaurant, is set to open its second site in Manchester, M&C Report understands.

The concept, which is the brainchild of Nisha Katona, is understood to have secured site at the redeveloped Corn Exchange in the city for a 170-cover unit that will open later this year.

The company, which launched in Liverpool last year, aims to develop more sites in the next 12 months and thereafter.

It is also looking for its second site in Liverpool and is considering London locations for future openings.

Katona is currently seeking investment to fund the expansion.

She told M&C: “The dream for me is I would love one in London. I would like four restaurants but I would like to take it as far as I can go: why should the sky not be the limit?”
