Mews of Mayfair, the collection of restaurants run by James Robson, has made four senior appointments to its Lancashire Court ahead of expanding the Mews brand.

The four venues that comprise Mayfair Pizza, La Cave, newly opened Cartizze Bar as well as Mews of Mayfair at the Bond Street site.

Gavin Hovingh has been promoted to operations manager from general manager to focus on the financial growth of Mews of Mayfair and to continue to implement a successful marketing strategy and oversee the development of all four brands under the umbrella.

To replace Hovingh as general manager, Julia Chiu – who previously set up and managed the bar at Mews of Mayfair – has been appointed to the role. Her role will include overseeing the daily running of the business, which includes human resource management and training, handling evening operations and developing and promoting bar menus.

Michael Lecouteur – formerly of head chef of Mews of Mayfair and Mayfair Pizza Co and at Smiths of Smithfield – has been named executive chef, while Ben Harrington is the new head.

Managing director James Robson said: “It has taken us close to ten years to collect our five leases and create four successful brands within Lancashire Court. I am excited to lead the team in their new roles and trust their experience and skills will help develop and expand our brands beyond our cobbled mews”.
