MEATLiquor is launching a delivery-only kitchen in Canary Wharf in partnership with Deliveroo, MCA has learnt.

Launching on Monday, it will be MEATLiquor’s first delivery-only site and builds on a successful long-standing partnership with the delivery provider.

Scott Collins, co-founder of burger and cocktail group, told MCA the menu would be a slightly smaller with a “greatest hits” of best-selling items based on Deliveroo data, while delivery times would be much faster.

The opening is part of a Deliveroo initiative to set operators up with fully-equipped, off-site kitchens in areas of high demand for delivery, known as RooBox.

Collins said: “Our busiest site is in East Dulwich, which is realty residential, and we do in excess of £10k just on delivery.

“Canary Wharf has the same radius of one and a half miles, but if you think about high it is with all the tower blocks.

“Deliveroo are quite clever by choosing areas that under served by restaurants, which is where they are putting all these kitchens.

“If it goes well we could definitely do more of them.”

Deliveroo is understood to be planning a major rollout of RooBox across London and the UK.
