Meatliquor, the fast-casual concept led by Yianni Papoutsis and Scott Collins, is planning to roll out its meat and cocktail-based restaurant to Glasgow and Newcastle within the next 12 months, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Sites have recently been secured in Leeds and Bristol following the success of restaurants in London and Brighton.

The site in Leeds, the group’s first in the North, will be housed in a 5,000sq ft basement unit on the outskirts of the Leeds Trinity shopping centre after running a MeatWagon in the city.

The business generates an annual revenue of c£10m and receives backing from David Page, formerly of Clapham House - the restaurant company that owned Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
