Meatcure, the East Midlands-based burger group, has announced it is to shut its site in Hinckley, two weeks after announcing the closure of its Leicester and Bedford outlets.

It leaves the group with just its Market Harborough restaurant, which opened six months ago.

Announcing the news on its Facebook page, the group said that the latest closure came after the landlord of the site refused to negotiate on rent.

On the future for the company, the statement read: “The partnership behind Meatcure is now Rob and Yaga, and they’re back on the tools and back doing what they do best. Market Harborough is now in their control with plans only to rekindle your love affair with what was one of the best burger joints, and more, around. They’re commitment to making it a success and a success for our loyal fans are unrivalled with an action plan longer than a box of smoked pork franks end to end.

“You know these guys, they’re not flash and they’re not in it to get rich quick! They’re in it because they love what they do and want you to love it too. They’ve re-visited everything and will be making huge changes for the better.”
