McDonald's UK has announced its first major expansion into the British motorway service market. The company has signed a partnership agreement with RoadChef, the country’s third largest operator of motorway service areas. McDonald's is to open a new restaurant at RoadChef's Strensham Services in Worcestershire in a trial initiative that could see it open more outlets at Roadchef's 29 roadside stations. The move will involve a new type of fund-raising model for the fast food giant in Britain.
