McDonald's has launched a set of new food items across its restaurants in Asia to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year next month. The Prosperity Programme spans nine markets, six ethnic groups, eight religions and 10 languages. There are 2,200 McDonald's in China, which will be serving, among other things, the Prosperity Burger, a meat patty dipped in black pepper sauce. Marvin Shaley, president of McDonald's in Asia, Middle East and Africa, said the programme aimed to celebrate the cultural diversity of Asia through food.
