Marco Marco, the Italian restaurant business led by Stephen Garrity, the former Restaurant Group executive, has secured a further two sites in the North West and its first outside its Cheshire heartland.

The three-strong company, which last month secured a £3.5m investment from London-based private equity group Niton Partners, will open its next site on 30 November in Stockton Brook, Staffordshire, with a further unit set to launch in the county in Lichfield in January.

The company, which launched three years ago and currently operates sites in Northwich, Lymm and Marple Bridge, hopes to grow to up to 20 sites nationally over the next two years.

It is targeting small town and villages in the North West for its initial expansion push.
