The couple behind Neighbourhood restaurant in Manchester is opening a new concept in Hale, Cheshire and a second Neighbourhood in Liverpool as part of plans to reach 10 sites within 10 years, M&C Report has learnt.
Karina and James Hitchen are opening Victors in Hale on 7 August, which will serve an eclectic American take on world cuisines including French, Asian and British.
Karina Hitchen said they are about to sign on a site in Liverpool for Neighbourhood, which could be open by November. The new restaurant will follow the original Manchester site’s “vibrant dining” concept and include a cat walk and performance space.
“We are expanding quicker than expected. We always said we would want to open ten restaurants within ten years but it all fell into place a lot more easily than we expected it to,” Karina told M&C.
Karina said they are considering affluent suburbs as well as city centre locations for expansion including Leeds, Birmingham, the Wirral and London.
The couple runs two restaurants in Manchester’s Spinningfields - the NYC-inspired Neighbourhood and BBQ concept Southern Eleven.
