Manchester’s Great Northern Warehouse has launched a 50-cover outdoor kitchen and dining space to provide space for businesses to operate at an increased capacity.

The ‘Restaurant on the Square,’ located in Manchester’s city centre, will house operators on a weekly rotation, giving businesses the chance to utilise the space for four days at a time.

The site launched yesterday (6 August) with tapas restaurant Evuna, and has Italian vendor Salvis and bar and restaurant operator Impossible lined up.

It will operate from 5pm to 9pm Thursday, and 12pm to 9pm Friday to Sunday each week, and will also include its own Estrella Damm bar.

“Housing so many brilliant bars and restaurants here at the Great Northern we really want to do what we can to help the hospitality business get back on its feet,” said Mark Schofield, centre director at Great Northern Warehouse.

“A lot restaurants don’t have the luxury of outdoor seating, so we’ve created an outdoor dining space that can hold 50 diners in the heart of the Manchester.”
