Mac & Wild, the Scottish game and seafood concept, is to start its expansion with a new opening in the City, MCA understands.

The collaboration between Andy Waugh from Wild Game Co and Calum Mackinnon from Amicus Apple, which made its debut in Fitzrovia last year, is understood to have secured a site in Devonshire Square for its second standalone restaurant.

The group, which is set to open a pop-up at the John Lewis in Oxford Street, is also believed to be in talks on a third location in the capital for a planned opening next spring.

Waugh’s family runs a butchery business near Inverness which supplies the meat and game caught locally; he hopes to use the restaurants as a means to highlight the produce of the area and encourage Londoners to visit the Highlands for fishing or shooting breaks.
