Lunya, the Catalunyan restaurant bar and deli, is to re-locate from Liverpool One to a site on the corner of the city’s College Lane and Hanover Street.

The group is to open its new 5,500 sq ft site this October, and said it plans to expand further.

Founders Elaine and Peter Kinsella are injecting an added £150,000 investment into the new site and will create ten additional jobs, taking their Liverpool workforce to 55.

Elaine Kinsella said: “Although we and our customers love our existing site in Liverpool ONE, an opportunity arose with a new location offering all the extra space and facilities that was just too good to miss. We’re confident all of our many loyal customers will love it.”

Alison Clegg, director, Asset Management at Grosvenor Europe, added: “Lunya is a great success story and we are delighted to be accommodating their growth. We have worked very closely with Peter and his team over the years, always focused on ensuring they thrive. It is very satisfying to see the business outgrowing its current home and expanding into another great location within Liverpool ONE.”

Metis Real Estate and Cushman and Wakefield acted for Liverpool ONE. Lunya dealt direct.
