Karaoke bar group, Lucky Voice, has said it is to expand into the Middle East, starting with a franchise launch in Dubai.

The group said it is also searching for a site in East London.

The Dubai site will be run by appointed Managing Director Richard Drake, a British expat who has been working in the Middle East since 2010, when he was headhunted to bring the Jamie’s Italian Restaurant chain to the UAE.

Lucky Voice said the objective was that the franchise will follow in the footsteps of the Novus Leisure partnership, in which replicas of the Lucky Voice private singing pods and cocktail bars are hosted within its Tiger Tiger branded bars across the UK.

The group said that its combination of a large food and beverage led bar with private karaoke rooms will be the first of its kind on the market in Dubai.

Nick Jones, Head of B2B Solutions at Lucky Voice, said:, “We see Dubai as a natural territory to expand into, with an amazing late-night leisure scene as well as an incredibly high service standard that fits with the Lucky Voice ethos. This is something that we also plan to emulate here in the UK, especially with the growing demand for ‘one stop shops’ allowing consumers to dine, drink and be entertained in one place. We’re constantly striving to offer an even better service, which is why we’re proud to be the first to add a multi-language offering to our customers.”
