Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecote, the French brasserie chain, is understood to be close to securing a fourth site in London, in Soho, M&C Report understands.

The group is believed to be in advanced talks to secure the LVPO site at 50 Dean Street, for an opening later this year.

The company closed its site in Manchester in June 2013, just under a year after its opening.

The group, which is led by managing director Mourad Dine, opened its first regional site in the UK, in the city’s King Street last year, but it is thought that trading at the restaurant did not match that of the group’s three sites in London.

The company, which was founded in 1959 by Paul Gineste de Saurs, currently operates restaurants in London in Marylebone, Throgmorton Street and Mackenzie Walk in Canary Wharf.

It also has restaurants in New York and Paris.

The chain is famous for serving steak frites, with a starter of green salad with walnuts dressed with mustard vinaigrette.
