A Leeds-based entrepreneur is opening a tapas restaurant above an upmarket bar with the option to add a nightclub in the future.

The Spanish restaurant, called The Ramblas, will seat up to 200 people on the first floor of the building staffed by all Spanish staff and chefs serving tapas and traditional Spanish dishes.

On the ground floor will be an upmarket bar called The Office which will open until midnight during the week and 2am at weekends serving cocktails, wines and beers. During the day The Office will be open from 8am serving coffees and freshly baked Cornish pasties.

Mark Burridge who has acquired the property told M&C Report that the Office will open within the next few weeks and he expects The Ramblas to open in March.

Burridge added there is potential to convert part of the four-storey building into a nightclub.

The site had previously been The Garage nightclub and karaoke bar.

Property specialists Fleurets secured the leasehold for Burridge.
