Kricket, the contemporary Indian restaurant concept backed by the White Rabbit Growth Fund, is set to make a permanent return to Brixton, after securing a new site in the area.

MCA understands that the concept, which its site at POP Brixton last year to concentrate on finding a permanent site in the area, has secured the Brindisa site in Atlantic Road for an opening later this year.

The sale of the site leaves Brindisa with five sites in the capital.

Kricket, which currently operates a site in Denman Street, Soho, will soon open its second site in the redeveloped BBC Television Centre scheme in Shepherd’s Bush.

The small plates and cocktails concept, led by chef Will Bowlby and Rik Campbell, will join Homeslice, D&D London’s Bluebird Café, Patty & Bun and Soho House at the development.

Kricket left its 20-seater shipping container site in Brixton after two years, with the team immediately beginning the search for a larger site, initially in Brixton, and if that failed in the wider area.
