Kricket has secured funding ahead of launching its fourth site in London in spring 2024.
The modern Indian restaurant concept will launch on Canary Wharf’s North Dock, having secured a new round of funding from White Rabbit Projects alongside additional funds from founders Rik Campbell and Will Bowlby.
The new site will have 85 covers and be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with an adjoining SOMA – the group’s minimalist speakeasy-style concept in Soho.
Kricket’s restaurants and delivery business generated £7.3m in sales in 2022, with like-for-like sales up 17% on the prior year as of 30 September 2023. The brand’s delivery-only concept, launched in 2021, continues to deliver 2,000 orders per week via an exclusive partnership with Deliveroo.
The concept was founded in 2015 as a pop-up in a shipping container at Pop Brixton. Following an initial injection of funding from White Rabbit, the first permanent site in Soho was opened in 2016.
