Andy Kress has stepped down as operations director of Caprice Holdings, the luxury restaurant group backed by Richard Caring, after 22 years with the company. Kress, who joined the operator of such venues as Ivy, Scott’s and Le Caprice in 1990, has been operations director since the end of 2007 and oversaw the acquisition of the Birley Group, the refurbishment of Le Caprice and earlier this year Scott’s. Caprice, which currently operates 17 sites, including five overseas, opened its latest venture, 34, in London’s Mayfair near the end of last year.
