Thai restaurant operator The Koh Group has set out a growth target of having 30 sites by 2020, after securing its ninth unit, and first in Wiltshire, in Salisbury.

The company, which reiterated its was on target for having 23 restaurants by 2018, aims to average three to four restaurants per year through a combination of its Koh Thai Tapas concept and openings of its smaller Koh Noi brand.

The new restaurant in Salisbury will be one of the larger of the Koh Family with over 140 covers, a bar lounge and private dining rooms.

The company completed its head office recruitment earlier this year and said a “robust infrastructure” was now in place for the next phase of growth.

Co-founder and chief executive Andrew Lennox, said: “Salisbury is a fantastic addition to our group and we have been working hard to secure the right site. Salisbury is an important town for us and we have a great fan base there who regularly travel to our Bournemouth and Ringwood sites, we have seen a phenomenal response already to the rumours we might be opening in the town. We looking forward to welcoming the people of Salisbury.”
