Atul Kochhar, who was the first ever Indian chef to win a coveted Michelin Star, has confirmed he will open a site under his Indian restaurant concept NRI at the Mailbox leisure scheme in Birmingham.
NRI - which stands for Not Really Indian - opened its first site in Mumbai in January 2016.
MCA revealed last December, that chef, who currently operates seven restaurants across Europe, India and Dubai, was in advanced talks to open NRI at the scheme.
He will open a c5,000sq ft, 180-cover restaurant on level one of the Mailbox, which is owned by under a joint venture between Brockton Capital and Milligan.
