Killer Tomato – the burritos, tacos and cocktails concept – is set to double up in the capital, with the opening of a site in Portobello Road, Kensington.
The concept, which is led by founder Matt Paice, is understood to have secured the former Talkhouse coffee shop site for its second permanent site.
The group plans to grow to 10 restaurants over the next five years.
Paice told MCA earlier this year that the business was in the process of raising £85,000 to help finance the acquisition of the lease in Portobello Road.
It then plans to roll out across west and central London, in properties from 900 to 1,200 sq ft.
The concept, which launched in Shepherd’s Bush in August, focuses on street food inspired Mexican dishes, with everything on the menu priced under £10.
The plan is for all stores to be cashless and to follow the street food-inspired design of the debut site.
