KFC has opened the drive-thru lanes in 55 of its 100 restaurants already operating for delivery.

Last week, the business expanded its existing delivery offering from 20 to 100 sites, but yesterday announced the reopening of its drive-thru offering in over half of these restaurants.

The fast food brand will continue to serve a limited menu to help the smaller kitchen teams maintain social distancing and has said it will also continue to deliver 10,000 meals to the NHS and key workers with Deliveroo - to add to the 13,000 already donated.

“This next stage allows us to continue to provide wider access to hot food for those who need it most, whether that’s key workers after a long shift or those working from home who need a quick, affordable dinner for the family,” said Paula MacKenzie, KFC UK managing director.
