Gideon Joffe has confirmed he will open the second site under his MonkeyNuts steakhouse brand later this spring in Whetstone.

Trading over the ground floor and basement with an approximate area of 4,000sq ft and have room for 100 covers

The son of Giraffe founders, Juliette and Russel Joffe, Gideon Joffe started the Monkeynuts steakhouse concept in 2004 in Crouch End.

M&C Report flagged up last month, that Joffe is planning to expand his three restaurants concepts – MonkeyNuts, Chez Bob and Chooks – with the help of his parents.

Russel Joffe told M&C Report: “Juliette and I now have the time to fully support Gideon in taking the three concepts on and we believe there is potential to expand all of them. We are currently looking at opportunities but are in no rush.”

Casey Philips, acquisitions agent at Shelley Sandzer, which acted on the deal, said: “Gideon has a proven track record of performing well in affluent London suburbs, through his Chez Bob’s restaurant in Belsize Park, Chooks in Muswell Hill and the original MonkeyNuts steakhouse in Crouch End, and we are confident he will be just as successful in Whetstone with the second MonkeyNuts steakhouse.

“The area is already well-populated by a number of highly regarded restaurants and bars, including Al Fresco, The Haven, Ask, Pizza Express and Cocorico. MonkeyNuts steakhouse adds something new to the mix, and will attract affluent residents from North, West and East Finchley, as well as Barnet and Totteridge.”
