East & West Restaurants Ltd and East & West Restaurants South Ltd, both subsidiaries of Jimmy’s World Grill and Jimmy Spices, have been placed into administration, M&C Report understands.

It is thought that the process, which has already led to the closure of the Jimmy’s World Grill & Bar site in Derby closing, also affects the group’s site in Luton.

It is thought that the leases and businesses from other sites involved in the process have already been transferred to a new company, led by an unrelated investor.

It is understood that East & West Restaurants South Ltd includes sites in Epsom, Staines and Bath restaurants, which are all operated under the Jimmy’s Restaurants format.

All the leases and businesses had been transferred prior to my appointment. The only ones I will be dealing with are Derby and Luton

The company closed the Derby site at the Riverlights development in after less than three years.  The 400-seater Derby restaurant, which cost £1.5m, was the second Jimmy’s site.

At the same time the chain, which operates nine sites under the Jimmy’s World brand, has confirmed it will open a new outlet in Brighton next month.
