Jamie’s Italian, the casual dining chain spearheaded by Jamie Oliver, has opened its latest site in the UK, in Greenwich.

The group’s 32nd site in the UK opened on the Inc Group’s former Bar du Musee site at the weekend.

The site includes the chain’s second deli, the first opened in Bath last year.

It is also set to open in London’s Denman Street and Newcastle this year, whilst further sites in Harrogate and London’s Victoria have been secured for 2014.

High-profile chef Jamie Oliver is understood to be working on a brand extension for his Jamie’s Italian brand, which has a working title Jamie’s Italian Trattoria, and is set to launch this summer in Richmond.

It is thought that the new format, which will open on the former William Hill site in Richmond’s King Street, is set to be a less formal take on the chef’s Jamie’s Italian brand, with a slightly lower price point and an even greater emphasis on the simplicity and rustic nature of Italian food.
