Jamie’s Italian, the casual dining chain spearheaded by Jamie Oliver, has opened its first site in Singapore and confirmed details of its third opening in Australia.

The group, which recently opened its first two sites in Russia Moscow, has opened at VivoCity in Harbourfront Walk, under its agreement with Hotels Property Limited (HPL). It is thought the site will be the first of a number in the region for the chain.

It will also open its first site Turkey later this summer at the Zorlu Center in Istanbul.

The group will open its third site in Australia later this year in Canberra’s Bunda Street.

Earlier this year, the group unveiled plans to open between 25 and 30 sites overseas over the next three years.

It has targeted launching in Hong Kong and Rio de Janeiro next year. Shanghai, Beijing, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand are also in contention for future openings.

Jamie’s currently operates 33 in the UK, including its recently opened first site under its new Trattoria format in Richmond.
