International ramen concept Ippudo has secured its fourth London site, on the former Kua ’Aina site on 40 Goodge Street.

Sammy Weinbaum of CDG Leisure acted on the deal.

The premium ramen restaurant chain has sites third site in Villiers Street, near Covent Garden, Central St Giles and Canary Wharf.

It serves Hakata-style ramen dishes developed at Ippudo’s restaurants in Japan, Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong and Manhattan

The group is backed by the Cool Japan Fund, a Japanese government entrepreneurial fund, with a £10.5m investment to strengthen its pipeline of European restaurants.

Founded in 1985 in Japan, Ippudo operates more than 120 restaurants in 13 countries.

Hawaiin burger and sandwich grill Kua ’Aina has a site remaining on Foubert’s Place, off Carnaby Street.
