Ippudo, the Japanese restaurant group, is preparing to open its first UK restaurant at London’s Central St Giles in September.
As revealed by M&C Report earlier this year, the group has secured the unit designated for Sofra at the scheme.
The 80-cover restaurant will be the group’s flagship European site as part of Ippudo’s global estate of more than 100 restaurants.
M&C Report understands the London site, which is Ippudo’s first European location, will be followed by a venue in Paris.
The ramen restaurant has opened sites in Japan, Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong and New York since it was founded in 1985.
