International Lebanese grill house Kababji has lined up its second UK site, in Birmingham’s Grand Central shopping centre.

The site is due to open later this spring, in the unit formerly occupied by Muffin Break, according to BirminghamLive.

The group, which operates c30 restaurants across the Middle East, has just opened its first UK restaurant in Wimbledon, at 80 The Broadway.

The site features technology such as kiosks, that allow customers to order and track the progress of their food, while they can use the app to order food directly to their table.

The business launched in Lebanon 25 years ago and has said it plans to move into more central London locations as it expands, as well as across the UK.

It has backed by Ziad Joumblat, managing director at Joel Robuchon International and chairman of Big Fernand Restaurant Group, and Douglas Smillie, former director at Busaba Eathai and Tapas Revolution, with the UK operations team headed up by Hylton Patterson, formerly of Tortilla.
