Stephen Hollis, formerly regional director at Nando’s, has stepped down as operations director at Cote, the BC Partners-backed chain, MCA understands.

Hollis joined the 72-strong chain, which will open in Cirencester this month, in June 2014 after seven years at Nando’s, where he was regional director for north London. Before joining Nando’s he had stints as an area manager at Pizza Hut and Greene King.

The group recently appointed Paul Livesey and Rebecca Tooth into operations director roles.

The Alex Scrimgeour-led group, which plans to open up to 15 sites this year, has further openings lined up in Peterborough, Weybridge, Worcester, Woking, Harrogate and Lincoln.

Openings this year will also include the group’s second site in Scotland and its first in Edinburgh.
