Handmade Burger Company, the Sargeant Partnership-owned group, has secured a further two sites in Bournemouth and Glasgow, M&C Report understands.

The brand, which opened its 20th site last month in Manchester, is understood to have taken the former Paperino’s site in St Vincent Street in Glasgow.

It has also signed to the new £50m West Central scheme in Bournemouth. Nando’s, Ask Italian, Chiquito, Prezzo and Frankie and Benny’s are also believed to have signed up to the scheme which is due to open in mid-2016.

The company, which is led by Mark and Chris Sargeant, is looking to open five sites in total this year.

The group is set to open a further site at the Central Village complex in Liverpool later this year.

It is also believed to be in talks on securing a third site for fledgling Mexican brand, Chilacas, which it launched in Birmingham at the end of 2012.

The group also operates one site under its Urban Pie brand in Birmingham’s Brindleyplace.

David Muslin at CBRE acted on the Bournemouth deal.
