Former Nobu head chef Scott Hallsworth who currently operates Kurobuta and the newly established Joe’s Oriental Diner in Chelsea, has left private members club Ramusake with immediate effect.

His departure will allow him to focus on other interests with his two Japanese Izakaya restaurants, Kurobuta in Chelsea and Marylebone and the recent opening of Joes Oriental Diner being Hallsworth’s main focus as well as opening Kurochan at the Mandarin Oriental in Bodrum, Turkey, on 1 June.

Ramusake in South Kensington opened in September 2014 as a joint project between Hallsworth and Piers Adam as a nightlife destination restaurant serving pan-Asian cuisine.

Earlier this year Hallsworth told M&C Report he is considering his options for growing Joe’s Oriental Diner alongside the Kurobuta brand, which has sites in the UK and overseas.
