The founders of the Home Counties-based Green Olive meze restaurant chain, have launched a new concept which they hope to roll out, MCA has learnt.

Leo and Annalise Charmantas will launch the first Meat at the Parish next Tuesday in the site of the former Green Olive in Windsor’s High Street.

Leo Charmantas told MCA that he had identified an opportunity in the area for a high-end steakhouse and cocktail bar offering.

He said: “We will be using USDA Prime steaks, which come to the restaurant 27-day aged and then continue to dry in cabinets in show to the diners.

“There will other meats and fresh fish as well. We will be cooking over dried oak logs to give a really distinctive flavour. A lot of people use the Josper grills but I think this gives us an extra edge.”

On the rollout potential, he said: “This one has to work first but it’s definitely something we’d like to do more of.

“I have run numerous restaurants in the area over the years so I know the scene well and I think this has a lot of potential.”
