Bill Granger, the Australian chef and restaurateur, has appointed Avon Alhadeff, formerly of Giraffe, as his first UK operations director to help oversee the growth here of his Granger & Co concept.
Alhadeff joins the two-strong Granger & Co after 12 years with Giraffe, which included seven years as operations manager.
M&C Report understands that Granger & Co is looking to open further sites in London and was one of the parties bidding to take the former Pizza Hut site in Cambridge Circus, which was secured by Bocca di Lupo.
The group opened its second site in the UK earlier at the Buckley Building development in Clerkenwell Green.
Granger opened his first UK site under the all-day dining concept, which features an Australian-influenced menu, in Notting Hill in November 2011.
He opened on the site of the former Pix Pintos bar in Westbourne Grove.
