Le ’Bab, a new gourmet kebab concept, which counts Iqbal Wahhab, the man behind the Cinammon Club and Roast, as an advisor, is to launch in London’’s Soho, M&C has learnt.

The new concept, which is the brainchild of Stephen Tozer and ex-chef de partie at La Gavroche Ed Brunet, has secured the ex-Black Pearl site in Kingly Court for its first opening.

The concept, which also includes Alex Hunter, managing director and co-founder of restaurant group Bonnie Gull, as an advisor, plans to “reimagine and advance kebab tradition”.

The founders said: “We’re combining ethnic and national kebab influences with Michelin-star style gastronomic thinking. Le ‘Bab will offer a relaxed environment for cosmopolitan diners to enjoy great food, drinks and atmosphere in a contemporary setting.”

The company anticipate an average spend of c£22 per head including drinks and VAT, prices for kebabs will range from £10-£15.
