Giraffe, the Tesco-owned chain, has relaunched its restaurants in London’s St James Street under its upgraded Burgers & Cocktails at Giraffe brand. The group relaunched the site yesterday to bring it in line with the original Burgers & Cocktails at Giraffe outlet at the Xscape scheme in Castleford. Pre its acquisition by Tesco for £48.5m, Giraffe said it would focus on three core brands going forward, after deciding to stop the rollout of its Cafe format. The group, which is led by Russel Joffe, planned to concentrate on rolling out its “classic” Giraffe format, its new transport hub-focussed concept Stop and an evolved take on its burger brand called Burgers & Cocktails at Giraffe. The original Giraffe Burger & Cocktails outlet was launched in 2011 on the site of the group’s Guerilla Burgers restaurant in St James Street.
