Gino D’Acampo to open My Restaurant in Birmingham

Gino D’Acampo will open a new 165 cover restaurant in Birmingham on 31 October.

It will be situated on Temple Row next to The Ivy & San Carlo and will also feature a cocktail bar, deli bar and private dining.

The opening is the first of a two-phased programme, with a roof top sky bar & restaurant also planned for Birmingham.

The restaurant has eschewed the likes of Deliveroo and will offer its own delivery service for online orders.

It’s the latest opening by D’Acampo with business partner Steven Walker, founder of Individual Restaurants, which operates Bank Restaurant & Bar, Piccolino, The Restaurant Bar & Grill and Opera Grill.

The first Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant opened in Manchester in 2015, followed by a My Pizza & Prosecco Bar at Next in Manchester in 2017, with another My Restaurant opening at Next, in Hull later that year. In October 2018 the business opened its fourth restaurant in Yorkshire at Next and a My Coffee & Deli Bar at The Arndale, Manchester.

It recently closed two My Restaurants in Camden and Euston Station.

“I want to open restaurants in the coolest cities in the UK, so I am super excited to be opening in such a great location in Birmingham,” said D’Acampo. “It took me years to find the perfect site. People here love to dress up and go out and I’m excited to welcome them personally to My Restaurant.”
