The Ghost Group is looking to expand its newly-developed Italian casual dining concept Terra Terra in the UK and overseas.

The end-to-end hospitality management group is to launch the concept, which it has developed with its partner The Quarters – an apart-hotel group, this September, with a view to growing it to six sites over the next two years.

Edward Piers Walker, creative director for Ghost Group told MCA it was looking to open additional Terra Terra sites as the property group expands. It currently has four locations in the UK, and is looking to grow to eight sites across Europe.

“We are looking to open two next year, and a further three the year after,” he said, adding: “It is well financed and there is a view to expanding it further.”

He said the idea for Terra Terra was born out of the team’s passion for Italian comfort food, but that the concept would differ from mainstream Italian casual dining brands, offering a more progressive menu featuring dishes such as ceviche. “The idea is to champion quality produce but to be price sensitive,” he said.

He said the group was looking to launch several other new concepts, including a beverage-led concept in East London, and a coffee and cocktail concept in central London, which both have their first openings pencilled in for Q1 2020.

All-day restaurant and café Terra Terra will open in September, at 120 Finchley Road, in North London, and will also feature an open bakery and outdoor terrace.
