G1 Group, the Scottish leisure operator led by Stefan King, is to open a new craft ale bar and restaurant and bar in St Andrew’s this spring called Forgan’s.
The site in Market Street will feature a craft ale bar, restaurant, cookery classes, live music and wine club. It will complement the group’s existing Mitchell Deli & Café in the town.
The company, which operates over 40 sites across Scotland, reported a 20% rise in turnover to £59.3m for the year to 31 March 2012 in what it described as a “tough operating environment and a challenging market place”.
The group, which is led by Stefan King, said it had continued to invest heavily in its core estate to maintain its reputation for unique and exciting venues.
