Scottish leisure operator G1 Group has created a new role of director of food and beverage.

Chris Gibson, who has been executive chef at the company for the past year, has been promoted to the role.

The currently 55-strong company is working on several food-led projects, include a complex of restaurants and cafes in Edinburgh’s Clerk Street.

The group recently acquired the Illicit Still in Aberdeen and The Golf Tavern in Edinburgh from the Speratus Group.
