Fresh & Healthy Brands, the Canadian restaurant and cafe group, is close to finalising master franchise agreements in the UK for the roll-out of two of its brands, M&C understands.

The agreements are for the north east of England and London for the Pure Health and Go-Grill brands.

Chad Parker, chief executive of Fresh & Healthy told M&C each of the agreements has a commitment to open a minimum of ten franchises.

The first locations are expected to open by late 2015 and early 2016.

Go-Grill has sites across Canada, the US and across the Gulf region. It is developing the grill concept in Europe, The Middle East and Latin America and is planning to have five new locations operating by the end of 2015.

Pure Health is a health fast food concept with outlets across the US, Canada and Colombia and Pakistan.

Parker opened his first site, the Juice Zone, in 1997, and created Fresh & Healthy Brands to franchise the juice bar concept across Canada and elsewhere. It currently operates across 24 countries.

Fresh & Healthy Brands’s other brands include a pizza restaurant called Famous Famiglia Pizzeria, and Marilyn Monroe Café, a modern café concept.
