Frankie & Benny’s, the Italian American restaurant from The Restaurant Group, has rebranded its Basildon branch under a new name, Frankie’s.

The first of three major refurbishments to update the brand’s estate planned this year, it follows the launch of new menus across all restaurants in May.

The Basildon site has been updated to create a more modern look and feel whilst maintaining the core identity of the Frankie’s brand, the company said.

It will have a “lighter, fresher and brighter” design, with a significant expansion of the kitchen area to support the investment in the food offering.

With plans to reduce emissions and reach net zero at the brand, new equipment going into the kitchen will be more energy efficient.

The design has also been altered to accommodate the significant growth in delivery and takeaway operations.

Jonathan Knight, managing director at Frankie & Benny’s, said: “We are delighted with the new look Frankie’s! As part of our efforts to evolve the brand and deliver an excellent customer proposition, we are letting Frankie take centre stage and move the brand forward to a bright future. We are excited to begin refurbishing other restaurants and we can’t wait to welcome back customers at the end of October.”
