Bone Daddies is launching a new site under its Flesh & Buns brand, on the former Sticky fingers site in Kensington.

The modern Japanese concept is taking over the corner site on Phillimore Gardens, just off High St Ken.

It will serve Japanese izakaya and Nikkei-inspired dishes, with neon-lit interiors, and a spirits-heavy drinks list.

The new launch will coincide with a redesign for the existing Flesh & Buns in Covent Garden and Fitzrovia with a new look and feel that will aim to take the brand back to its “raucous roots”.

Last year, Bone Daddies co-founder Demetri Tomazos told MCA the group had taken lockdown as an opportunity to “take a deep breath and look at ourselves and our product”.

He said: “We’re now running more efficiently than we ever were pre-Covid.”

Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman announced the closure of Sticky Fingers after 32 years of trading earlier this year.

The American diner-style restaurant was sold to Maxwell’s Restaurant Group in 2000, with Wyman retaining a share of the business.

Maxwell’s went into liquidation in December after struggling with the impact of the pandemic.
