Five Guys, the better burger brand, plans to open up to 30 new sites across Continental Europe next year, whilst also looking to add 15 to 20 sites in the UK, MCA has learnt.
The company will open four more in the UK this year to take it to 79 stores and is believed to have already secured seven of the 15-20 sites it hopes to open here next year.
MCA understands that average payback for a Five Guys site is approximately three and a half years.
In terms of France, the company will open as site in Aix-Au-Provence before the end of the year, taking its total estate there to six.
It is looking to open c10 further sites in France next year.
In Germany, it is on track to open its first two sites in the country – in Frankfurt and Essen, this year, with plans to eight to 10 more next year.
The company plans to open one more site in Madrid this year, taking its total estate to four in Spain. It also hopes to add a further 10 sites in the country next year.
The group will open in Derby, York, Colchester and Westfield Stratford before the end of the year, which will take the company to 20 openings for the year.
The company recently secured the secured the Urban Diner unit at 20 Hill Street, Richmond and a second site in Nottingham, near the Showcase Cinema in Redfield Way, for its 2018 pipeline.
