A new fine-dining restaurant operator for the Macdonald Compleat Angler Hotel in Marlow, Buckinghamshire is being sought.

MacDonald Hotels has appointed Colliers International to find a new operator for the award-winning site, which is offered on a new lease.

The premises, which were formerly home to the Aubergine Restaurant in conjunction with the London Fine Dining Group, are currently laid out to provide 40 covers and benefit from impressive views of the River Thames and the Marlow Weir.

The hotel holds four AA red stars and is rated one of the top hotels in the UK and Ireland.

Ross Kirton, director Licensed and Leisure at Colliers, said “This is an exceptionally stunning location and the restaurant is fitted to a high standard internally. We are seeking a premium, white table cloth or Michelin-quality restaurant occupier synonymous with the quality of the hotel.

“Marlow and its surrounding areas has become an established location for premium restaurant offers, including Tom and Beth Kerridge’s Hand in Flowers, winner of the 2013 National Restaurant Awards earlier this month. The area also hosts an array of some of the UK’s other favourite restaurants including The Fat Duck, The Hinds Head and the Waterside Inn.”
