Japanese fast-casual restaurant and takeaway concept Feng Sushi is set to open its sixth site in London at the end of April. The company, which already runs sites in Belgravia, Fulham Road, Notting Hill, London Bridge and High Street Kensington, has acquired a 1,600sq ft site in Chalk Farm. Jeremy Rose, managing director at Feng Sushi, said: “This is bigger than our usual site and the mix will be pushed slightly more toward eat in than usual but will have the same style as our previous sites.” Davis Coffer Lyons acted for the company during the acquisition of the site, which has room for 45 covers and is part of a £200,000 investment. Plans for a seventh site to open in Charlotte Street, W1, have for the time been put on hold, after the company decided to concentrate on the Chalk Farm site before expanding further. Rose continued: “At the moment we want to get this next site up and running properly before expanding further. Therefore we have decided not to continue our interest in the Charlotte Street site. “In three months time we might return to have a look at Charlotte Street but for now we don’t want to overstretch ourselves.” Rose confirmed that in the future the company will continue to grow “organically and quietly”.
